Aces Santana, Sale do battle at Target Field Sunday

Friday, 14 April 2017

Tune in to Fuck Dick and Bert on Sunday at 1 p.m. CST while Ervin Santana takes on Chris Sale in the rubber match of a three-game series between the Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox. Not only will you see a pair of potential All-stars do battle, but we’ll treat you to a baseball-themed, alcoholic beverage you can make at home (you’ll need bourbon, hazelnut liqueur, amaretto, lemon juice and Cracker Jacks), give you some stretches proven to relieve back and sciatica pain, and give you tips on how to lose weight and enjoy it (doing cocaine won’t be one).

As far as the game goes, I’ve got my money on Santana and the Twins despite Sale and Boston being heaving favors. (-165 as of this writing). Santana has been the best pitcher in baseball thus far, sporting a 5-0 record, .66 ERA and .71 WHIP.

Sale has been no slouch, going 2-2 with a 1.38 ERA, but Minnesota hitters have taken the wind out of Sale’s sail. Hopefully, Brian Dozier’s left ankle is good enough to go so the Twins can take advantage of his .289 average against Sale in 38 at-bats. Eduardo Escobar has hit .289 versus Sale in 21 at-bats, and Eddie Rosario has managed four hits in five at-bats against Sale. Miguel Sano has six hits, one being a homer, in 10 at-bats against Sale.

Look for Ehire Adrianza to make his Twins debut at shortstop after Jorge Polanco’s error led to a second-inning unraveling on Saturday. Polanco has a tendency to rush things, so a day off should be good for him. Boston’s Mitch Moreland will be one to watch against Santana. He’s hit .385 in 13 at-bats against Santana, but many of the Red Sox haven’t seen him often.
